Not everyone is a ghostwriter that says they are a ghostwriter. This article will help you understand why.
When you hire a ghostwriter you should expect the very best. This is your book, your name and your story. You must demand the best-ghostwritten book.
Let me start this article with a small warning.
Not a Ghostwriter
The web is packed with ghostwriters that are not really what my thirty-plus years of experience would call a ghostwriter.
You will find these ghostwriters on most job sites like Indeed, Fivver and many more websites like this.
They are cheap. When you pay cheap you know what you usually get - CHEAP.
When you hire a ghostwriter they will be working on your project for at least 6 months. If they charge you just £3,000 do you think that will keep the ghostwriter going for 6 months? Of course not, so they will have many projects running at the same time. Your book will not get the attention it truly deserves.
This does not mean they won’t do a good job. It means you might have to hire 3,4 or even 5 ghostwriters until you find a half-decent writer.
In my experience here’s what I know. You will get an interview os a set of questions to fill out. The ghostwriter will then start your book almost right away. Sometimes in just weeks, you will get a first draft. Some will even promise you in just 30 days.
It is my advice for you that if you want to go cheap - go very cheap because £3-5,000 will probably give you the same ghostwriting quality as £1,500 (Yes, there are ghostwriting services that can charge £1,500.)
I say go cheap because you might go through 4,5,6 or more ghostwriters until you’re happy and even then those clients come to me to help get their book complete. That’s genuinely sad because it's a tough ask to patch up poor writing so they still have to pay my full rate.
Writing a Book
Writing, creating drama, making words compelling, and constructing life stories isn't a job it is a real passion. Don’t use a job website to find a passionate ghostwriter.

Ready To Ghostwrite Your Book
Then and only when I feel ready do I start to put your book onto paper and NEVER before I am ready. I literally have to transform myself into your character to write a true representation of you in your book.
There is your deadline yet there is no rush. I want your book as perfect as we can get it for YOU not for me. This is not a robotic process or a day's work. This is you on paper this is your moment in time. It has to be right.
The stories, the truths, the moments, and all the details needed to transport your reader into your engaging, compelling, and at times dramatic or heroic story.
Time and Research
This takes a huge amount of time. This takes a lot of research. This takes many detailed interviews. This takes a mass of notes on my side: video calls, interviews, chit-chats, and more digging to reveal your story. Even speaking to others if I have to. What we are creating is written history or even a legacy in print. That is a great responsibility. That takes the most valuable asset we all have - time.
It also takes expertise. Expertise that can only be built over time and skill.
I write - without fail - over 3,000 words daily. No day is exempt from my writing practice. I have been doing that for decades. That adds up to 1.1 MILLION words per year. I think that reveals a lot about how I am as a writer who loves to write.
