Who Is Ghostwriter, Writing Mentor, and Author Alan Forrest Smith?

So you know what I look like - That is me above with my wife and two of my children - Demna and Keso. Their names are Georgian. My wife is from Tbilisi, The Republic of Georgia where we also live for a quarter of the year. In the UK we live close to Manchester, in a town named Altrincham.

It’s been an incredible life so far. You name it I have faced it and thrived beyond it. Divorce, bankruptcy, homelessness and all kinds of what the majority might call - crazy moments - have made my life one huge book of colour.

So here we go - a little more about me.

I am a writer, author, ghostwriter, mentor, filmmaker, director and ‘dad’ to six children.

From someone with so many ‘titles’ it can sound confusing so let me tell you a little more to help you understand.

I am a U.K.-based ghostwriter and writer’s trainer, coach or mentor. I have my own direct marketing company since 1998 - OrangeBeetle.com. I have written stories, sales copy, books, brochures, big ideas, reports and you name it - I’ve definitely written it. I’ve also worked for around 600 industries as a writer, copywriter and growth consultant.

I have also written, produced and directed six films. And - I have written around 24 books. I’ve been busy.

I have written many business books for myself. Even some best-sellers.

I have been in business since 1985.

I have decades of real front-line experience in business.

I have decades of experience working with at least 600 industries (probably more.)

I also own my business consultancy and copywriting business since 1998.

My business books have been based on storytelling, positioning, promotion and how-to.

I have also written many philosophy books. I Am Bastard I Am War is the one I am most proud of.

I write philosophy almost weekly for my main blog. I also have two new philosophy books in the making.

I read philosophy of all sorts on a daily basis and have for decades.

Spiritual Writer

Not only did I attend a weekly Bible and religious school for over 20 years I was also an ordained minister in a fundamental faith for that same period. After leaving that faith I studied, read and practised all kinds of faiths including esoteric, yoga faiths and many more. Again I am a great reader of all things spiritual.

Biography and Storyteller

I am a huge fan of biography. I love the untold stories the unravelling and the revealings where you say, ‘WOW,’ I didn’t know that. I have written thousands of stories about life and events. Mostly found on my blog at www.AlanForrestSmith.com.

I also wrote my semi-biographical book, Escape From Zoomanity.

My Own Writer’s Journey

My writer’s journey actually began way back in the late 70s when I started writing lyrics for my punk band. I was 15 years of age.

Then in 1985 after being fired again I had to write my own advertising with plenty of storytelling. Those areas cover direct marketing, copywriting, writing books, storytelling for them and even making films.

Books: Ghostwritten 60-100,000 words books

Publisher: I have my own publishing house and published most of my own books apart from a couple.

Films: Written directed and created business films, documentaries and short fiction movies.

• Born in 1963 in Scotland.

• Moved To England in 1970.

• I got bullied at school for my accent.

• I was in a punk band that once appeared on the BBC.

• I got a black belt in Atemi Ju-Jitsu by the age of 16 - that stopped the bullying.

• Married in 1987.

• Four kids by 1994.

• Divorced by 2009.

• Bankrupt 2010.

• Met my wife in 2009.

• Married in 2015.

• Our son at the age of 58 by 2019.

• New daughter at 60 in 2021.

• Living a very happy life in Hale, Altrincham, England with my family.

• I work with selective writing clients who take their writing project results very seriously.

One thing I have learnt over three decades is everyone in business wants to make money gain recognition or just hit the success that makes them happy. So, the above - it’s easier than you might think, but it’s something I have spent my life doing for clients just like yourself.

I live a good life today. My business life has been interesting with lots of changes, progressions, diversions and for my clients, at times, results that have just been happy.

Today, I focus on writing, ghostwriting, writing my books and making films. I have just finished my 24th book. As I type I have 3 new books I am working through.
